Alamo Square
Alamo Square is a charming residential neighborhood, located on the northwestern edge of San Francisco surrounded by beautiful Victorian homes. On the southern end of the district lies iconic "Painted Ladies" which are brightly colored row-houses. Although Alamo Square is removed from downtown and has a quiet residential feel, there are still countless attractions within walking distance such as cafes and restaurants, local shops, and parks with stunning views of the city skyline. The area also features several cultural sites such as 1227 Steiner Street - home to the Haas-Lilienthal House, an 1886 mansion that is one of the only surviving residences from San Francisco's Victorian era. Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll around town or just want to take in some fascinating sights, Alamo Square is an amazing destination for all visitors.
